Love & Associates provided preliminary and final design for approximately three miles of riverine channelization and pedestrian/bicycle trail systems along Bear Canyon Creek. Several projects were under taken over a three year period including channelization of a mile reach of supercritical flood channel, meandering and widening a mile of the creek to allow for conveyance and naturalization of the area within a neighborhood park, design of pedestrian/bicycle trail, hydraulic analysis and bridge sizing along Bear Canyon Creek including eight major road crossings and channel improvements including a major eight lane road crossing at a State Highway 93 (Broadway) in Boulder, CO.
